Doug is Victor Capital Partners’ founder and Managing Partner and heads Victor’s Management Committee. He has been an investor for more than 30 years, including from the formative stages of three other sizeable firms. Doug was a partner of Irving Place Capital (formerly Bear Stearns Merchant Banking) for sixteen years, with a focus on branded industrial and consumer businesses. Previously, he was a founding Managing Director of Eos Partners, where he invested in middle-market companies, and a Vice President of Blackstone Group, where he worked on some of their earliest buyouts. Doug began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Doug earned his BS degree in economics from Wharton with honors and his MBA from Harvard with high distinction as a Baker Scholar. He has been involved in numerous charitable and community leadership positions over the years including serving as Chair of Penn’s Graduate School of Education, as a Presidential appointee to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, as Chair of the Private Equity Division of UJA-Federation of New York, and as a Trustee of Greenwich Academy.
